Done! Time!

In the words of my friend Chris Lair, Done! Time! Finals are over and grades are in. Not too shabby this semester. I am home and ready to relax. Had a great weekend with Chris, Clint, Heather, Shannon and the GParents in San Antonio this last weekend and spent a couple of days in Abilene. Dad came in for his short course so I had a few meals with him and yesterday I spent the day with Joel shopping, thats right shopping, and loading art work, some of which I am proud to say I now own. I have 2 original Joel Goudeau snapshots and one original pastal drawing. I'm proud. We also watched The Lord of the Rings, just the first one. It was my first time and now I am hooked. I can't wait to watch the rest of them. I might go rent them tomorrow!

I enjoyed my drive home. My dad came up Sunday to Abilene and much to my surprise he drove my new car which means I got to bring it on the nice 6 hour journey home! I love it!!! I was so excited when he came with it that I wanted to drive everywhere. I even drove around at Midnight b/c I couldn't sleep Sunday night. It's awesome! Well, it's about 11:30 which is still pretty early but I got up at 7:30 this morning so I am gonna hit the hay! Everyone have a great night and by all means, call me! I would love to talk to you!

Be Blessed!!!

SA Town

Chris Lair here, filling in for Mandy today. Hope y'all have enjoyed the first weekend of summer. We're having a party here in San Antonio. Not really we've sat around, watched movies, and ate a whole lot of food. I'm at my grandparents house with Mandy, Heather, and Clint. We worked as a teaching team for the 8th graders Wednesday night class at Highland this year, and it's great to spend time together to wrap up a successful year. I'm so thankful that God put us together, I couldn't have asked for a better group. I've been so blessed to be around these three, they have encouraged me in so many ways. I look up to each of them a whole lot. They've poured their hearts into ministry and are incredible examples of selfless servants. Mandy's been our momma, caring for us and keeping us in line. She is definitely one special lady. I don't know many who work harder or are as solid as Clint. We give Heather a hard time, but honestly she's a one in a million girl who brings a lot of joy to our lives. It's obvious she has a gift in ministry to connect with students (not just because she looks like one) but they really love her, and who could help themselves. But really, I've had a monopoly on gifted teachers to work with and hope we can do this again next year. I'm glad they came down here to spend the weekend together, we got the hook-ups on food from my grandparents and this is just a little way I can say thank you to them. Well, I don't do this blog thing so I'm signing off. Peace,
Lair

A New Juggling Record

No more Exegesis! I finished my final today and I am so excited! I celebrated with a Dr. Pepper, ice cream and by breaking the old juggling record that I set. 71 times! Broke the record by48 juggles. Maybe not that impressive or exciting to you but for me, an accomplishment!

Tomorrow I turn in my last final and struggle to pay attention through some presentations and then it's off to San Antonio. I am excited about relaxing and spending time with some friends before the Summer job starts.

Tonight is roommate night so I am going to go help cook dinner. After that we are going BOWLING!! Woo Hoo!!! So anyway, I'm out!

Be Blessed!!!
